Jared Johnson
My name is Jared Johnson and I qualified as a Social Worker in 2018 after obtaining my Bachelor of Science degree. My experience to date includes working in a community centre with those who are HIV positive as well as developing my practice in a statutory Leaving Care team based in London. Presently, I work with young people aged 12 – 18 presenting with contextual safeguarding risks in their community. Due to their complex needs, they are extremely vulnerable.
In addition, I am one of the two Directors for SHYP limited. As an organisation, we aim to support young people in their transition to adulthood by engaging them in positive communication. We also help them to remain focussed on their goals and ambitions so they can achieve the outcomes they have individually identified. It is my desire to combine their motivation with my drive and passion to effect this change and support them to improve the quality of their lives.
Tracey Golden
My name is Tracey Golden and I have been a qualified and registered Social Worker since 1999. Since this time, I have worked in various private and statutory services including Drugs and Alcohol, Youth Offending, Child Protection and Fostering. I have also completed a Certificate in Education qualifying me to teach those aged 16 and over. Presently, I work as a Specialist Mentor to support University students who experience mental ill health.
Working alongside Jared, I am the second Director for SHYP limited and as an organisation, we are committed to ensuring the young people we come into contact with are fully supported so they can achieve their full potential and maximise their opportunities.
