Compliments, Complaints and Suggestions

SHYP welcomes feedback on its services especially from young people, their families and professionals. Whether these are compliments, complaints or suggestions, SHYP view these as useful indicators to assist in rewarding staff or improving the quality of the service offered.

If a young person or any professional working with them wishes to raise an issue, they are able to speak with the Support Workers however, if they wish to raise the concern with somebody else in the organisation or if they feel they have not been heard appropriately, they can ask to speak with the Manager or Directors. If a young person or professional wants their dissatisfaction to be dealt with more formally, they can access the SHYP Complaints Policy and / or complete the Compliments and Complaints Form which is found on the website and also in the young person’s handbook. This can be completed and handed to the Support Worker in an envelope or given to the allocated Social Worker for it to be raised in a professional forum.
